Rising

As weird as this sounds, this artwork was actually inspired by a Green Day lyric. I did it around the time that 'Know Your Enemy' was released (at long last), and the line 'rally up the demons of your soul' just stuck in my head. Looking at this now, I can see hardly any link to Green Day at all, but I just thought I'd point it out.
Anyway, the meaning behind this, I think, is down to what personally strikes you. One person I showed this to said it reminded them about passing on after death. Someone else said it was like good rising from evil. I see it as a mixture of a lot of things, including the suggestions that other people have given me.
